Lake Nona Well Being Ambassador

General Summary: 

The Lake Nona Well Being Ambassador will develop and execute recruitment and engagement strategies and community content designed to support the Living Laboratory concept within Lake Nona.  This role is specifically designed to be the face of JIYO, currently the designated Wellbeing App in the community.   JIYO requires both online and offline “community” engagement.  This is a role with a strong bias to community relations, field operations and accountability. In addition, this position will be conversant and proficient in Lake Nona Institute programs including the Lake Nona Life Project, Technogym and WHIT.   Other duties will be assigned i.e. supporting the Lake Nona Impact Forum.

Essential Job Functions:

  •  Develop and implement community outreach communications and events (e.g. JIYO App communications, monthly newsletters, postcards, event promo items, health and wellness educational events etc.) designed to increase awareness and participant engagement
  • Resident expert on JIYO.  In addition to being a user, completely immersed in the features, benefits, functionality with the goal of training users on the product.
  • Key advisor to JIYO and TDC team on effective strategies for engaging residents, employers as well as opportunities to improve user experience
  • Develop materials for special events.
  • Forecast resource requirements (budget and staffing needs)
  • Build alliances with various community organizations/businesses/affinity groups that will serve as a volunteer resource pool and/or event opportunities and/or incentive partner
  • Develop training materials for residents/employers
  • Support tactics to reach survey completion rate for the Lake Nona Life Project
  • Ensure a positive participant user-experience; provide feedback to partners/vendors on areas that need improvement
  • Position will require evenings and weekend meetings/events
  • Assist with other assigned tasks and goals

Essential Qualifications:

  •  Bachelor degree in related field required
  • Demonstrated skill and interest in health technology as an enabler for behavior modification
  • High energy, self-motivated and creative individual with a passion for health & wellness
  • Understanding of community dynamics and the opportunity to start a
  • “Movement” around Wellbeing.
  • Comfortable with public speaking and “taking the mic” at community events
  • Proficient with Social Media and understands engagement strategies
  • Observant, Creative and is able to translate to written impactful content for the APP
  • Prior experience in field operations and community outreach required, event experience preferred
  • Prior experience in managing projects with a proven track record of results
  • Ability to quickly build credibility and gain the confidence of individuals at all levels
  • Exceptional proficiency in Excel
  • Proficiency in Keynote/PowerPoint and Pages/Word
  • A strong team player with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and get things done
  • Ability to communicate in English effectively with other individuals
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

  •  Must be physically able to do assigned work as outlined above
  • Must be physically able to sit and use the computer for hours at a time
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
