Director of Project Finance

 

General Summary:  The Director of Project Finance is responsible for providing financial support to development projects including but not limited to monthly financial forecasting, reporting and budgeting.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Prepare monthly cash flow forecasting, capital reporting and preparation of lender loan draws
  • Prepare routine financial reports including variance reporting on budgets, proforma and cash flow on active development projects, preparing both short-term and long-term projections as needed
  • Assist with refining, implementing and managing a project budgeting and financial reporting process
  • Assist with the management of contract administration and procurement as needed
  • Analyze, interpret and communicate findings to senior management
  • Prepare development project proformas, underwriting, forecasting and analysis as assigned
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or other related discipline or equivalent experience
  • 10 years’ experience in finance with 3 years at director level
  • Experience in the construction industry preferred
  • Exceptional leadership qualities and communication skills
  • Ability to manage  multiple priorities with conflicting deadlines
  • Results-oriented team player with a high level of integrity
  • Demonstrate ability to foster collaboration and build relationships
  • Strong ability to problem solve while not sacrificing project goals
  • Ability to proactively identify critical path tasks and, without exception, execute on those tasks
  • Demonstration of effective communication, cooperation and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft programs including Excel, Project, Word and Outlook

Essential Physical Requirements:

  • Must be physically able to do assigned work as outlined above
  • Must be physically able to sit and use the computer for hours at a time
  • Must be able to lift to 25 pounds
